Обеспечена полная совместимость с существующими Blu-ray плеерами, оснащенными HDMI 1.3 / 1.4 и подключаемыми к предусилителям с процессорами Dolby Atmos.<br /><br />В последние дни было несколько анонсов новых ресиверов и усилителей с поддержкой формата Dolby Atmos. И вот теперь появилось сообщение, что на них будет что воспроизводить в новом аудио формате. Но будут доступны не только диски с Dolby Atmos, потоковые сервисы  тоже обещают аудио-треки, закодированные в формате Dolby Atmos.<br /> <br />Звуковые дорожки в формате Dolby Atmos не потребуют новых плееров и будут полностью совместимы со стандартом Blu-ray, могут передаваться через выход HDMI 1.3/1.4, который должен быть подключен к усилителям с предварительной обработкой цифрового аудиосигнала  в соотвествии с требованиями формата Atmos.<br /><br /><div align="center"><!--dle_image_begin:http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2014-06/1403841789_dolbyatmos2.jpg|--><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2014-06/1403841789_dolbyatmos2.jpg" alt="Blu-Ray диски с Dolby Atmos скоро в продаже" title="Blu-Ray диски с Dolby Atmos скоро в продаже"  /><!--dle_image_end--></div><br /><br />В целом акустическая система Dolby Atmos не имеет кардинальных отличий от привычного домашнего кинотеатра. Будет лишь больше каналов (до 64 каналов), но отличается распределением акустических систем в помещении. Абсолютной новинкой является использование потолочных излучателей звука, которых должно быть как минимум два.<br /><br />Можно будет сделать выбор в пользу конфигурации 5.1.2, с классической 5.1-канальной акустикой, дополненной двумя источниками звука на потолке. Вы можете выбрать конфигурации 7.1.2 (классическая 7.1-канальная система + 2 потолочных источника) или 5.1.4 (классический формат 5.1 + 4 потолочных источника) или 7.1.4, 7.2.4.<br /><br />Первые Blu-ray диски и потоковые записи с Dolby Atmos, как ожидается, будут доступны с конца нынешнего года.
