Прошлогодние экспериментальные модели обе компании сделали после совместной разработки новой технологии со струйным нанесением OLED материалов, которая должна удешевить панели и телевизоры. Но судя по всему, японские производители пока не видят возможности выпускать достаточно конкурентоспособные панели. Почему и отступили от намеченных целей.<br /><br />"Так уж получается, что в настоящее время не удается делать большие, телевизионные OLED панели по разумным ценам. Но в настоящее время две японские фирмы стремятся активизировать свое участие в развитии OLED технологий для смартфонов и планшетных устройств", в соответствии с предположениями американской Wall Street Journal  (WSJ).<br /><br />WSJ отмечает, ни Panasonic, ни Sony смогли найти способ, чтобы конкурировать со своими корейскими коллегами в производстве OLED телевизоров. Тем не менее, OLED дисплеи намного легче сделать, когда панели становятся меньше.<br /><br />Обе компании, как сообщается из американского источника, ведут переговоры с таким авторитетом на рынке дисплеев малого и среднего размера, как Japan Display. Идея состоит в том, чтобы сформировать трехстороннее объединение, которому будет легче конкурировать с Samsung и LG на рынке OLED дисплеев.
