Первые 8K видеокамеры используют три датчика с разрешением 33 мегапикселя для того, чтобы обработать красный (R), синий (B) и зеленый (G) компоненты цвета, что делает камеры более громоздкими. <br /><br />Полное разрешение нового датчика изображения японской компании составляет 133 мегапиксела (15360 х 8640 пикселей), он способен полностью обрабатывать информацию по всем  компонентам цвета, что позволяет создавать небольшие, однокристальные видеокамеры с разрешением 8K. Новый датчик также позволяет снимать 8K видео с частотой 60 кадров в секунду. Диагональ датчика составляет 43,2 мм.
