Masahiko сказал, что в среднесрочной перспективе компания по прежнему ориентирована на производство  ЖК панелей с высоким разрешением  (более 500 ppi), но в долгосрочной перспективе основной упор будет сделан уже на OLED дисплеи.<br /><br />JDI видит OLED, как способ создать новый рынок для гибких, прозрачных и рулонных дисплеев. JDI собирается применять технологию WRGB, аналогичную  используемой в OLED телевизорах омпании LG, которая позволит достичь высокого разрешения и более низкого энергопотребления. Но в настоящее время JDI считает OLED продукцию еще слишком дорогой для вывода на рынок, и к тому же есть технологические проблемы с однородностью дисплея и сроком службы отдельных излучателей.<br /><br />В 2013 году JDI объявила о намерении построить в г. Исикава опытное  производство для выпуска OLED дисплеев. Линия обеспечивает выпуск в месяц 4000 подложек размером 730x920 мм. Компания намерена начать мелкосерийное производство весной 2014 года.
