Корейская компания уже второй год не может добиться приемлемого процента брака в технически сложном процессе изготовления пластин с OLED излучателями, из которых затем «нарезаются» OLED панели для телевизоров. По сообщению Korea Herald, компания Samsung  на прошлой неделе полностью остановила производство и прекратила продажи OLED телевизоров.<br /><br />Представители компании еще во время январской выставки CES 2014 дипломатично сообщали о преждевременности массового производства OLED телевизоров, о намерении уделить повышенное внимание Ultra HD технологии на базе ЖК панелей. К нынешнему году компания Samsung, в отличие от LG, не подготовила новых моделей OLED телевизоров.<br /><br />Стоит отметить, что Samsung использует OLED панели с самосветящимися субпикселями красного, зеленого и синего цвета. Тогда как компания LG предпочла панели на основе белых OLED источников и цветных фильтров. Возможно потому, что в отличие от Samsung уже имела ранее опыт массового производства OLED телевизоров с небольшими экранами.
