Однако, даже с новым форматом сжатия HEVC потребуется скорость соединения более 15 Мб/c для просмотра Ultra HD фильмов на телеэкране, что все еще недосягаемо для большинства потенциальных зрителей.<br /><br />Решить проблему призвана технология Beamr Video, которая сегодня уже тестируется в голливудских киностудиях и среди занимающихся распространением видео компаний. <br /><br />Демонстрация Beamr Video проходила в Лас-Вегасе (7-10 апреля) в рамках выставки NAB 2014. Beamr Видео представляется, как технология оптимизации видео следующего поколения и, как утверждается, в состоянии уменьшить на 50 % битрейт, необходимый для передачи сжатого с использованием кодека HEVC видео. Все это выполняется без визуально заметной потери в качестве  картинки.<br /><br />Насколько эффективной и востребованной для массового использования окажется новая технология сжатия видео, как и само Ultra HD разрешение на домашнем телеэкране покажет ближайшее время.
