Качество звучания которых ухудшалось по мере уменьшения толщины корпуса. Все производители сегодня ищут пути решения этой проблемы. Так LG разместила звуковую панель в подставке некоторых телевизоров, Sony разработала новый корпус оригинальной формы, известный как дизайн в форме клина. Расширенное снизу пространство позволяет устанавливать в корпус динамики более высокого качества. <br /><br />Кроме того, компания LG разработала новую встроенную акустическую систему совместно со специалистами американской  компании Harman Kardon, известной во всем мире своими аудио технологиями. Результатом этого сотрудничества стало использование аудио технологий и динамиков Harman Kardon в лучших моделях Ultra HD и OLED телевизоров корейского производителя. <br /><br />Технология Ultra Surround должна обеспечить виртуальный объемный звук, который помещает зрителя в центр происходящего на экране. Достигнуть такого эффекта компании собираются лишь за счет 7.1-канальной аудио системы с размещенными на лицевой панели телевизора динамиками.<br /><br />Подобная акустическая система уже используется в 105-дюймовом изогнутом Ultra HD телевизоре LG. Какие еще модели телевизоров LG будут оснащены американо-корейской аудио технологией пока не ясно. Но вполне вероятно, что это будут новые OLED телевизоры, которые появятся в конце этого года, и новые 4К телевизоры LG.
