Уникальность используемой в этой модели технологии Virtualphones заключается в том, что HW700DS имитируют многоканальное звучание в формате 9.1. Используемые в новых наушниках динамики диаметром 50 мм воспроизводят частотный диапазон от 5 Гц до 25 кГц. <br /><br />Вместе с наушниками используется внешний блок радиопередатчика и входных интерфейсов. В частности имеются оптический и аналоговый RCA аудиовходы, три входа HDMI 1.4, которые обеспечивают сквозной видеоканал с разрешением Ultra HD при кадровой частоте до 30 Гц к 4К дисплеям.<br /><br />Для подключаемых через HDMI источников звука высокой четкости, HW700DS способны декодировать форматы Dolby TrueHD, DTS 2.0/5.1/7.1 Linear PCM, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Аудио, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, DTS Express, DTS Digital Surround, DTS-ES и DTS 96/24. <br />Есть три режима объемного звучания: Игра (подчеркивает бас и динамику звука), Голос (улучшает четкость в диалогах) и Кино (оптимизирован для фильмов), разработанные в сотрудничестве с Sony Pictures Entertainment и ее главным аудио редактором Томом Маккарти. Встроенный аккумулятор обеспечивает 12 часов работы с временем зарядки (через USB) в течение приблизительно 3 часов. Для беспроводного канала передачи звука используются диапазоны частот 2,4 ГГц, 5,2 ГГц и 5,8 ГГц.<br /><br />Вместе с HW700DS Sony предлагает и более доступные беспроводные модели наушников, но с поддержкой стереозвучания. Это MDR-HW300DS и MDR-RF811RK. В HW300DS использованы два 40 мм излучателя с частотной характеристикой от 10 Гц до 22 кГц. Беспроводная передача выполняется на частоте 2,4 ГГц, аккумулятор обеспечивает около 10 часов прослушивания, с временем зарядки около 3 часов (через USB). <br /><br />Новые беcпроводные наушники Sony поступят в продажу уже в апреле.
