Сегодня рассматриваются потенциальные возможности для сотрудничества двух компаний из островного Китая в сфере технологий (патенты) и производства.  Учитывая состоявшиеся встречи на уровне руководства, нельзя исключать в перспективе возможность слияния этих производителей, что может означать серьезные изменения в рейтинге крупнейших производителей, вплоть до смещения с лидерских позиций корейских компаний. <br /><br />Правительство Тайваня с 2003 года поддерживает инициативу интеграции этих двух промышленных групп.
