Но с распространением супер плоских телевизоров этот казалось бы забытый тип решения, получает новую жизнь. <br /><br />С прошлого года Samsung реанимировал это решение в своих Ultra HDTV под названием One Connect Box, реализовав нем свою концепцию апгрейда для телевизоров с заменой компонентов смарт платформы и даже процессора.<br /><br />Видимо Sony также будет использовать подобную интерфейсную приставку для своих ультра HDTV в 2014 году. На данный момент подробных сведений о ней нет, так что не ясно, все ли  модели будут поддерживать ее. На корпусе есть входы HDMI, а также разъемы для спутниковой и эфирной антенн. Другие детали скрыты внутри корпуса (например, неизвестно, есть ли там процессор или он находится внутри телевизора), а также в конечном итоге будет ли возможность модернизации, заменив только коробку, как в случае для Samsung.
