Ассоциация Blu-Ray Disk (BDA)  говорит, что они появятся к концу года.<br /><br />Потребность в телевизоре сверх высокой четкости значительно понижается, если нет хороших видеоматериалов, которые сегодня ассоциируются с Blu-ray дисками. Сегодняшние копии с поддержкой разрешения Full HD недостаточно хороши для Ultra HD экранов.<br /><br />Оказывается, что появление Blu-ray с поддержкой 4К сегодня тормозится в основном отсутствием выработанного и принятого стандарта, под который производители могли бы делать совместимые изделия и комплектующие для сборки.<br /><br />Представители BDA пообещали на выставке, что работы по формированию стандарта завершатся к концу нынешнего года. Вместе с тем, некоторые производители уже заявляли о своей предварительной готовности к освоению подобной продукции. Sony также заявила, что они считают более приемлемым для доставки интернет. Одно можно сказать наверняка, что Blu-ray уже не является определяющим форматом на рынке в любом случае.
