С 11 декабря 2013 года в столице доступны через эфирное вещание дополнительные цифровые телеканалы, известные также как второй мультиплекс. В состав пакета сейчас входят девять телеканалов: Рен-ТВ, «Спас», СТС, «Домашний», НТВ+ Спорт Плюс, Звезда, Мир, ТНТ, Муз ТВ. Десятый канал будет добавлен в пакет после завершения 18 декабря конкурса претендентов на место в цифровом телеэфире. На право занять позицию в пакете претендуют каналы ТВ-3 и «Дождь».<br /><br />На Москву и Московскую область цифровой передатчик транслирует сигнал в стандарте DVB-T2  на частоте 24 телеканала. Для приема пакета РТРС-2 москвичам необходимо произвести перенастройку (запустить поиск каналов) телевизоров и ресиверов, поддерживающих стандарт DVB-T2.<br /><br />Трансляция пакета цифровых телеканалов РТРС-1 (первого мультиплекса) в Москве и Московской области сейчас ведется в двух стандартах цифрового эфирного телевидения: DVB-T2 на 30 ТВК и в прежнем стандарте на 34 ТВК.
