Стать поставщиком для ожидаемо массового продукта стремятся многие компании.<br /><br />По сообщению Korea Herald близка к заключению сделки на поставку OED дисплеев компания LG Display. Удача отвернулась от Samsung Display. Представители Samsung вели переговоры с Apple но они оказались «не продуктивными». Korea Herald добавляет, что дисплеи для Apple iWatch также будет поставлять компания RiTdisplay. А аналитик Ким Ен-Ву из HMC Investment Securities характеризует RiTdisplay в качестве основного поставщика,  LG выступает в качестве вторичного, дублирующего поставки партнера.<br /><br />Apple iWatch ожидается на рынке в течение 2014 году. К тому времени эти часики могут столкнуться с конкуренцией со стороны подобных устройств от Samsung, Google и Microsoft, которые также занимаются интеллектуальными часами. Возможные особенности устройства от Apple по-прежнему окутаны тайной, но по слухам, компания сосредоточится на управлении воспроизведением музыки и поддержке уведомлений для близлежащих iPhone и iPad, а также датчиками для контроля здоровья и фитнеса. Apple iWatch может также включать одну или несколько камер, и позволять владельцам iPhone совершать звонки, не доставая их из кармана.
