В ближайшие пару месяцев с началом продаж игровых приставок нового поколения PlayStation 4 и Xbox One японская Sony и американская Microsoft готовятся к тотальной войне. У всех на устах вопрос, какая консоль будет первой по популярности среди легионов фанатов консольных игр, которые с нетерпением ожидают появления новинок на полках магазинов. О безусловном лидерстве Sony или Microsoft говорить на данном этапе слишком рано, хотя первые признаки позволяют предположить, что у Sony PS4 лучшие стартовые условия.

В прошлом месяце Futuresource представила прогноз по которому представляется, что аудитория PS4 будет, вероятно, на 20% больше, чем у Xbox One, а затем появились и еще более зловещие предчувствия для Microsoft. Последний признак того, что Sony выигрывает гонку исходит из сообщения Reuters / опроса Международного института маркетинговых и социологических исследований, которое показало, что потребители на родной земле Microsoft, в США больше заинтересованы в покупке PS4, чем Xbox One.

В опросе приняли участие 1297 человек, из них 26 % респондентов говорят, что они, вероятно, купят PS4 как раз к Рождеству, в то время как только 15 % сказали, что они рассматривают возможность покупки Xbox One. Еще более тревожным для Microsoft является то, что увеличивается отрыв среди молодых геймеров, 41 % тех, кто моложе 40 лет, говорят, что они купят PlayStation 4, по сравнению с 27 %, которые сказали, что они бы предпочли Xbox One.

Но все может измениться, когда консоли, наконец, появятся в продаже. И все же есть несколько веских причин, почему потребители отдают предпочтение PS4 на данном этапе. С одной стороны, консоль следующего поколения от Sony выходит на неделю раньше, чем Xbox One в США, PS4 поступит в продажу 15 ноября по цене $ 399,99 (или £ 349 в Великобритании). Между тем Xbox One не только будет выпущена позже, 22 ноября, но и стоть она будет значительно дороже – $ 499,99 (£ 429), испытывая лояльность даже самых ярых сторонников Xbox.
