В сентябре JDI начала поставки 8,9-дюймовых широкоэкранных QXGA (2560 х 1600 пикселей) модулей с системой управления на основе транзисторов из низкотемпературного поликремния (LTPS). А с июня начато производство 7,0-дюймовых широкоэкранных UXGA (1200 х 1920 пикселей) ЖК модулей с технологией LTPS.<br /><br />На сегодняшний день в большинстве обычных планшетов используются ЖК дисплеи с системой управления на основе аморфных кремниевых транзисторов, в результате чего такие дисплеи имеют более низкую плотность пикселей, широкие зоны нечувствительности, а также высокое энергопотребление. Технология LTPS компании JDI способна на 40-50 % сократить расход энергии.<br /><br />Новый 7,0-дюймовый дисплей JDI имеет плотность пикселей 323 ppi, а 8,9-дюймовый – 339 ppi. Ячейки ЖК панелей новых дисплеев выполнены на основе фирменной технологии IPS, которая обладает широкими углами обзора, высокой контрастностью и хорошей цветопередачей. Сочетание IPS с высоким разрешением и высокой яркостью 500 кд/кв. м позволяет воспроизводить четкое и яркое изображение для мелкого шрифта и картинки высокого качества.
