Недавно американская компания Quantum Materials начала поставки своих наноматериалов "квантовые точки тетрапод" не названному азиатскому производителю электроники, намекая на возможность появления на рынке других продуктов на основе квантовых точек тетрапод. Дело в том, что цвет свечения квантовых точек зависит лишь от размера квантовой точки. "Как только производители научатся интегрировать самосветящиеся квантовые точки в свои продукты, они смогут увеличить выпуск своих изделий, потеснив конкурентов, которые не смогут овладеть этой технологией. Дисплеи на квантовых точках (QLED) позволят создать новые продукты, рабочие места и новые отрасли промышленности".<br /><br />Насколько реалистичны эти заявления мы узнаем уже в ближайшие годы.
