Утверждается, что Panasonic собирается начать выпуск 50, 58 и 65-дюймовых  Ultra HD телевизоров, возможно, с расширенной  цветовой гаммой.<br />ЖК панели смогут теоретически воспроизводить цветовое пространство столь же широкое как NTSC 100%, что значительно превосходит используемые сегодня требования Rec.709, но не полностью соответствует цветовому пространству Rec.2020, которое было предложено для Ultra HD стандарта. Впрочем и все остальные производимые сегодня UHDTV также не дотягивают до этих требований. Продажа Ultra HD телевизоров Panasonic может начаться с  сентября нынешнего года.<br /><br />Особый интерес вызывает и дальнейшая судьба разработки 56-дюмового 4К OLED телевизора Panasonic, первый вариант которого был показан на январской выставке CES 2013.
