Кроме того, у них появляются новые возможности. Наглядная иллюстрация – CD-проигрыватель PD-50 и усилитель  A-70 от Pioneer. PD-50 читает CD и SACD, а также файлы с карты памяти через фронтальный USB-порт. На тыловую панель выведены входы цифрового аудиосигнала для работы с внешними устройствами. Между тем, А-70 может похвастаться не только мощностью 70 Вт/кан., но и усилителем класса D, что свидетельствует о высоком КПД при динамичном и насыщенном звуке. Он обеспечивает звуковоспроизведение в соответствии с фирменной концепцией «чистого звука» (Pioneer’s ‘Pure Audio’ philosophy) акцент делается на быстродействие схемы и «открытое» звучание.
