Научно-исследовательская лаборатория японской компании NHK представила полноцветный 8-дюймовый гибкий OLED дисплей с использованием ряда передовых технологий. Прежний 5-дюймовый образец увеличился в размерах, в нем теперь используется ряд новых материалов и технологий.<br /><br />Массив OLED излучателей наносится на пластиковую основу с плотностью 100 ppi, общее разрешение при этом составляет 640 х 480 пикселей (VGA). Система управления отдельными элементами дисплея выполнена на TFT транзисторах с использованием новых материалов InGaZnO (IGZO).<br /><br />Красный цвет реализован на основе нового фосфоресцирующего материала на основе платины, обладающего продленным сроком службы при низком энергопотреблении. В этом OLED дисплее  впервые использовано также новое защитное полимерное покрытие для OLED излучателей.<br />
