После восьми недель судебного разбирательства виновными были признаны бывший президент AU Optronics Сюань Бин Чен и бывший исполнительный вице-президент Хуэй Сюн. После этого судебного разбирательства было инициировано следствие и в отношении Shiu Lung Leung, которое началось в ноябре 2012 года и завершилось в конце апреля 2013 осуждением Ленга.<br /><br />Соблюдая национальные интересы, американская фемида продемонстрировала неотвратимость наказания, невзирая на сроки давности. Так в обвинительном заключении указывается, что AU Optronics участвовала в международном картельном сговоре еще с сентября 2001 г. и до 1 декабря 2006 г., а ее дочерняя компания вступила в сговор уже весной 2003 года. <br /><br />Заговорщики устанавливали цены на ЖК панели во время ежемесячных встреч со своими конкурентами. Последние осуждения являются результатом совместного расследования, проведенного антитрестовским отделом Министерства юстиции США.
