В Toshiba TCM9930MD используется дополнительная микросхема для предварительной обработки изображения. Толщина TCM9930MD составляет всего 4.7 мм.<br /><br />Традиционный способ уменьшения высоты модуля камеры вызывает проблемы из-за снижения разрешения по углам зоны изображения. Тем не менее, TCM9930MD устраняет это падение разрешения, используя дополнительную микросхему предварительной обработки изображения, которая выполняет коррекцию искажений и восстанавливает разрешение изображения. <br /><br />Использованная для повышения разрешения камеры технология называется «суперреконструкцией", разработана специалистами корпорации и исследовательского центраToshiba. Подобная технология используется и в телевизорах Toshiba. Образцы нового модуля появятся в мае 2013 года, массовое производства запланировано на конец года.
