Японо-американский дуэт будет разрабатывать ультратонкий ЖК дисплей со сверхнизким энергопотреблением. Основой разработки станет дисплейная технология Sharp IGZO и дисплейная технология MEMS компании Pixtronix.<br />Как уже сообщалось, для финансирования работ компания Qualcomm перечисляет $120 млн., Sharp в свою очередь расплачивается с Qualcomm дополнительно выпускаемыми акциями компании.<br /><br />Можно утверждать, что Sharp в  лице  Qualcomm нашел надежного партнера. Компания недавно вышла третье место в мире по объему производства микросхем,  впереди лишь Intel и Samsung. Такое сотрудничество позволит Sharp выйти на новый уровень в производстве дисплеев малого и среднего размера.
