Это приятная новость, в первую очередь, для Samsung Display, а также благоприятно отразится на общем развитии дисплейной OLED технологии.<br /><br />Вместе с тем Samsung придется задержать выпуск новых смартфонов с Full HD дисплеями. Первые образцы OLED панелей с повышенным разрешением должны быть продемонстрированы на январской выставке CES 2013. Размер этой панели составляет 4,99 ", она имеет плотность пикселей 441 ppi (при разрешении 1920 х 1080).  Это довольно большой дисплей и не ясно будут ли именно они использованы в смартфонах Samsung.<br /><br />Из производимых сегодня Samsung дисплеев, самую высокую плотность пикселей имеет Galaxy Nexus (316 пикселей на дюйм: 4,65 ", 1280 x 720, с PenTile технологией). S3 имеет 306 пикселей на дюйм (4,8 "1280 x 720, PenTile ), а Note II имеет только 267 пикселей на дюйм (5,5 ", 1280 x 720 - но без PenTile). Плотность пикселей на дисплее последнего iPhone 326 ppi. Но другие компании (в том числе Sharp, LG и Japan Display) уже представили мобильные Full HD дисплеи, так что Samsung, вероятно, просто играет маркетинговые догонялки.<br />
