Правда это был не тот вариант самосветящихся наночастиц, над которым в частности работает Samsung и прототип которого уже представлял в прошлом году.<br /><br />Компании Nanosys и 3M демонстрировали технологию усовершенствованной пленки с квантовыми точками (quantum dot enhancement film - QDEF). Будучи наклеенной на экраны ЖК дисплеев такая пленка значительно улучшает цветопередачу, за счет излучения квантовыми точками дополнительной световой энергии в расширенном цветовом спектре. В соответствии с заявлениями 3M и Nanosys технология QDEF позволяет примерно на 50% расширить цветовую палитру дисплеев. Насколько необходимы подобные технологии-примочки в эпоху освоения OLED дисплеев покажет время. Между тем, спонсором Nanosys выступала компания Samsung, правда было это в 2010 году, а сумма была незначительной – $ 30 млн.
