Sony и Samsung вводят минимальные цены на HDTV



Sony и Samsung ввели в действие объявленную еще в январе политику минимальных розничных цен на свои HDTV, которая будет касаться пока только всех американских ритейлеров, как крупных универмагов, так и онлайн магазинов. Например, рекомендованная цена может быть $ 1999, а минимальная цена, которую может выставить продавец не должна опускаться ниже $ 1600.

Эта политика призвана замедлить снижение цен и защитить прибыли производителей, но может помочь таким крупным универмагам как Best Buy в конкуренции с сетевыми магазинами, такими как Amazon.

Sony и Samsung заявляют, что если ритейлер будет продавать по цене ниже, чем предельная минимальная, они могут отказать им в поставке продукции. Но, кажется, что некоторые продавцы уже нашли способ обойти это ограничение, предлагая скидки непосредственно в процессе покупки. Можно предположить, что от этой инициативы Sony и Samsung в выигрыше окажутся только другие производители HDTV.
