Панели среднего размера начнут изготовляться на сингапурском заводе в конце этого года, хотя ранее планируемый срок был вторая половина следующего года. <br /><br />AUO заявляет также, что уже установлена экспериментальная линия по производству больших OLED панелей (более 32 дюймов), которая начнет выпускать продукцию в конце этого года. Исследовательская группа по OLED технологии включает сотни инженерных сотрудников компании. AUO уже представляла свой 32 дюймовый OLED дисплей, выполненный с использованием технологии оксидных TFT транзисторов (IGZO) для управления отдельными OLED источниками. <br /><br />Для формирования OLED пикселей на поверхности подложки панели используется традиционная технология вакуумного испарения с металлической маской. На выходе AUO получает OLED панели с поддержкой Full HD, с контрастностью 100 000:1, временем отклика 0,01 мс и яркостью 200 кд/кв. м.  <br />
