Телевизоры Samsung Smart TV 2012 года поддерживают систему интуитивного взаимодействия Smart Interaction, которая позволяет управлять устройством при помощи голоса и жестов, а также поддерживает технологию распознавания лиц. Для этого новые модели оснащены HD-камерой и микрофоном. Теперь пользователь может просто сказать «Привет, ТВ!», чтобы активировать функцию голосового управления, а затем произнести «Web browser» для запуска браузера. <br /><br />Плазменные телевизоры Samsung серии E8000 предоставляют пользователю возможность наслаждаться новейшими технологиями и сервисами без необходимости покупать новый телевизор (технология Smart Evolution). Потребители cмогут обновлять программное  и аппаратное обеспечение телевизора при помощи специального комплекта Evolution Kit, который вставляется в специальный слот на задней панели телевизора. Evolution Kit поступит в продажу в 2013 году.<br /><br />Samsung стремится предоставить пользователям максимально широкий выбор доступного на их телевизорах контента. В телевизорах 2012 года доступны эксклюзивные приложения от Samsung: Family Story, Kids, Fitness. В магазине Samsung Apps пользователи могут выбрать приложения на любой вкус: видео, игры, спортивные и новостные ресурсы, материалы о стиле жизни, моде и многое другое. В России Samsung сотрудничает с ведущими поставщиками контента, такими как Yota, Яндекс, Zoomby, mail.ru, ВГТРК и многими другими, предоставляя потребителям большое количество информационного и развлекательного контента. Новые флагманские модели оснащены мощными двух ядерными процессорами, обеспечивающими одновременное выполнение нескольких задач – больше нет необходимости выключать одно приложение, чтобы запустить другое.<br /><br />Технология AllShare Play позволяет загружать контент на все совместимые устройства, такие как смартфоны, планшеты, камеры и компьютеры. Обновленный сервис также открывает доступ к удаленному (облачному) серверу, что дает возможность обмениваться контентом, находясь в любой точке земного шара.<br /><br />Плазменные телевизоры серии E8000 как основа для домашнего кинотеатра предоставляют: высочайшее качество картинки как в 2D, так и в 3D, возможность конвертации видеопотока в трехмерный формат, широчайшие углы обзора, а также ряд технологий обработки изображения. <br /><br />Новые модели сочетают в себе передовые достижения в области структуры плазменной панели и улучшенное программное обеспечение (технология Clear Image Panel), что гарантирует естественную цветопередачу, высокий уровень контрастности и исключительное качество изображения. С ее помощью можно подключить к телевизору внешний USB накопитель и воспроизводить записанные на нем видеофильмы, музыку и фотографии. Встроенный плеер поддерживает большинство современных форматов мультимедийных файлов.<br /><br />Плазменные телевизоры Samsung серии E8000 поступят в продажу на российский рынок в мае 2012 года по рекомендованным розничным ценам: PS-51E8000 – 91 990 руб, PS-64E8000 – 169 990 руб.
