Для дальнейшего финансирования своей OLED программы компания намерена продать долю в своем предприятии, выпустив для этого акции на $300 млн. По сообщению корейского информационного ресурса ETNews, участие в исследовательской программе AUO принимают специалисты Sony, которые были откомандированы на Тайвань еще в прошлом году. Отмечается, что для Sony очень удобно использовать производственные и финансовые ресурсы AUO, предоставляя свои интеллектуальные. В феврале было объявлено о стратегическом партнерстве с производителем OLED материалов другой японской компанией Idemitsu Kosan.<br /><br />AUO уже представила в ноябре 2011 года 32 дюймовый опытный образец OLED телевизора, который обладает при full HD разрешении контрастностью 100 000:1 и временем отклика 0,01 мс при яркости 200 кд/м2. Система управления OLED пикселями выполнена на основе перспективной технологии с использованием оксидных TFT полупроводников (IZGO). <br /><br />Сейчас стоит задача наладить массовое производство и увеличить размеры OLED панелей.<br />
