В связи с чем Samsung Electronics сосредоточится лишь на сборке телевизоров и прочей электроники, а некогда бывшее совместное предприятие Sony и Samsung – завод S-LCD в Корее будет передан новой компании, которая, предположительно, будет называться Samsung Display.<br /><br />Sony уступила Samsung свою долю в совместном предприятии S-LCD в декабре прошлого года, после того как компания Sharp объявила о запуске с января – марта производства ЖК панелей на новом заводе в западной части Японии. В последующем Sony планирует использовать еще и ЖК панели компании LG, выполненные по технологии IPS, которую предпочитают использовать в своих HDTV Panasonic и Philips и известную по достаточно широким, для ЖК телевизоров, углам обзора.
