Разрабатывать новые приложения для этого сенсорного стола позволит программное обеспечение Surface 2.0 SDK.<br /><br />Вычислительная начинка Samsung SUR40 включает двух ядерный процессор Athlon X2 245e с тактовой частотой 2,9 ГГц и мобильную графику AMD Radeon  HD 6750M с поддержкой DirectX 11. Габариты Samsung SUR40 составляют 1095 x 102,5 x 707,4 мм, вес 39,5 кг, а стоимость в США – $8400. Заказы принимаются пока только в 23 странах, Россия в их число не вошла.<br /><br />Кроме мультимедийного применения Samsung SUR40 может быть предположительно востребован в некоторых профессиональных сферах, здравоохранении и науке.
