Технология DLNA позволяет просматривать на экране телевизора хранимые на устройствах домашней сети медиабиблиотеки. Однако при этом требуется промежуточное звено – роутер.<br /><br />Теперь стандарты DLNA и WiFi Direct будут объединены. Если быть точнее, потоковый медиа-контент сможет непосредственно передаваться между устройствами с поддержкой Wi-Fi и при этом будут сохранены функциональные преимущества технологии DLNA, такие как просмотр и выбор файлов. При этом ассоциация DLNA заявляет, что только одно из двух устройств должно поддерживать Wi-Fi Direct. <br /><br />Дата, когда новое программное обеспечение станет доступно, пока не объявлена. Но некоторым из сегодняшних пользователей кроме смены прошивки придется покупать и новое оборудование.
