Samsung пока продолжает делать процессоры для текущего поколения iPad, но новые модели будет производить тайваньская компания Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), которая уже приступила к производству опытной партии 4-х ядерных процессоров A6.<br /><br />Как  ранее сообщали некоторые информационные агентства, Apple выразила неудовольствие по поводу качества одной из партий ЖК панелей от LG, которая пока является одним из основных поставщиков дисплеев. Вместе с тем, появились слухи о планах инвестирования Apple $1 млрд. в ЖК заводы японской компании Sharp для производства дисплеев нового поколения к iPhone и iPad. Как отмечает агентство Рейтерс, стоимость продукции Sharp обойдется для Apple явно дороже и, как это скажется на стоимости конечной продукции Apple пока неизвестно.<br />
