Он сказал журналистам, что не видит смысла продолжать концентрацию усилий на малых и средних OLED панелях, которые в основном используются для планшетных компьютеров и мобильных устройств. К тому же существующее поколение IPS панелей на основе ЖК технологии имеет меньше недостатков в данном сегменте, чем OLED панели. Вместо того чтобы вкладывать в  OLED дисплеи для мобильных приложений, компания направит все ресурсы на освоение панелей больших размеров.<br /><br />И, хотя, Квон признает, что первоначальные объемы производства будут небольшими, LG Display намерена сделать OLED телевизоры реально продаваемым продуктом. Первые партии 55 дюймовых OLED телевизоров выйдут объемом в несколько десятков тысяч единиц из-за ограниченности производственных мощностей, но в дальнейшем производство будет увеличиваться на основе запросов рынка.
