Известный кинорежиссер и член совета директоров RealD – Джеймс Камерон высоко оценил потенциал комбинированной технологии и назвал ее очередным шагом в домашнем 3D видео.<br /><br />На выставке  SID 2011 Samsung заявил о лицензировании RealD 3D. В конце 2012 году Samsung начнет производить и продавать на основе этой технологии 23 и 27 дюймовые LCD мониторы, а затем 55 дюймовые жидкокристаллические телевизоры.<br /><br />Новая 3D технология Samsung будет называться RDZ и позволяет использовать любые поляризационные очки из кинотеатров RealD, во многом она подобна используемой LG технологии FPR. Но позволяет отображать для каждого глаза картинку в полном Full HD разрешении, а не в половинном, как у первоначального варианта LG Cinema 3D. <br /><br />Впрочем, по последним заявлениям, LG намерена в ближайшее время также довести до full HD разрешение своих HDTV из семейства Cinema 3D. <br />
