Еще в прошлом году наметившаяся тенденция по продаже за рубежом сборочных производств подтверждена очередными соглашениями с тайваньской компанией Foxconn. Sony из полнопрофильного производителя превращается в разработчика и организатора производства.  В соответствии с подписанным контрактом Sony поручает Foxconn собрать в 2011 году около 14 млн. HDTV Bravia. В настоящее время Foxconn модернизирует свои производственные мощности для достижения уровня требований Sony. Тайваньскому производителю для сборки пока передаются лишь недорогие модели массового спроса.<br /><br />По заявлению представителей Sony данное решение является стратегическим и позволит продукции компании более успешно конкурировать в рыночном секторе HDTV начального уровня.  <br />
