Тем более, что Sony недавно заявляла вместе с Samsung и Panasonic о безоговорочной поддержке лишь 3D технологии с активными очками затворного типа, которые позволяют попеременно демонстрировать изображения для левого и правого глаза. Такой принцип приводит к появлению искажений, но позволяет смотреть 3D в full HD разрешении. LG же считает, что поляризационная технология способна устранить все недостатки в 3D воспроизведении.<br /><br /><div align="center"><!--dle_image_begin:http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2011-03/1300045474_2lg3d.jpg|--><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2011-03/1300045474_2lg3d.jpg" alt="LG собирается продавать Sony 3D FRP панели" title="LG собирается продавать Sony 3D FRP панели"  /><!--dle_image_end--></div><br /><br />В настоящее время об использовании поляризационной 3D технологии заявили Toshiba, Philips, американская компания Vizio, которой впервые за долгое время удалось потеснить японских и корейских конкурентов и стать лидером на североамериканском рынке. Основные китайские производители НDTV также подписали с LG договоры на поставку 3D панелей типа FRP. Сама LG пока производит оба варианта 3D HDTV, но в дальнейшем собирается сконцентрироваться лишь на поляризационной технологии.<br /><br />Таким образом, LG надеется серьезно потеснить Samsung на рынке 3DTV, который он захватил по итогам прошлого года  с неприлично большой долей в 60%. Вместе с тем, по результатам продаж обычных LCD панелей за прошлый квартал, LG в первый раз вышла на первое место, которое уступил Samsung. LG была основным производителем LCD панелей для IPad, будет поставлять их и для IPad2.
