<img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2008-06/1214454572_original.jpeg" align="left" style="border: none;" alt='Классический  фильм «Метрополис» на Blu-ray' title='Классический  фильм «Метрополис» на Blu-ray' />   Компания Kino International сообщила, что планирует выпустить на Blu-ray классический фильм эпохи немого кино Ланга «Метрополис» в начале 2009 года. <br /><br />Фильм 1927 года, который стал источником вдохновения для создателей «Звездных Войн», «Бегущего по лезвию бритвы» и «Космической одиссеи 2001 года» и стал культовым в своем жанре, имел бюджет равный по нынешним меркам $200 миллионов. <br /><br />Оригинальный фильм был не самого лучшего качества из-за старой пленки, однако Kino совершила практически невозможное, восстановив пленку в 2001 году и выпустив «Метрополис» на DVD. Что касается, Blu-ray релиза, компания пока не сообщала точной даты выхода фильма, хотя известно, что он появится  в начале 2009 года. <br /><br />Информация о технических характеристиках и дополнительных материалах пока отсутствует,  известно, что на DVD издание присутствовало значительное количество  бонусных материалов.
