Компания Dream Works Animation , все еще поддерживая HD DVD, заявила, что от Toshiba зависит, когда компания начнет выпускать Blu-ray диски.
Согласно заявлению, которое сделал генеральный директор Dream Work Animation Джеффри Катценберг (Jeffrey Katzenberg) информационной компании Рейтер, студия выжала все возможное из формата HD DVD. Именно эти слова послужили для Toshiba руководством к действию.
Катценберг объяснил, что теперь в компетенции Toshiba делать следующий шаг и что Dream Work Animation намерена выйти на рынок Blu-ray, как только для этого будут наилучшие условия.
В прошлый четверг Paramount Pictures,чьей дочерней компанией является Dream Work Animation, также заявила о своем намерении полностью перейти на Blu-ray.
В настоящий момент Dream Work выпустит на HD DVD лишь фильм «Bee Movie”. Катценберг в интервью с Рейтерс сообщила, что надеется получить ответ от Toshiba относительно этого релиза.
