Издание выпускает компания  «Уолт Дисней Компани СНГ», заявившая, что лента будет доступна как в обычном "плоском" формате, так и в трехмерном. 3D Blu-ray издание выйдет двухдисковым (на втором диске "плоская" версия), его младший брат - 2D Blu-ray релиз - будет однодисковым. Издания различаются исключительно видеорядами: двухмерное изображение закодирован в MPEG-4 AVC с битрейтом ~32 Мб/с, а трехмерное - в MVC с битрейтом ~40 Мб/с. В остальном наполнение дисков идентичное.<br /><br />Издания содержат несколько звуковых дорожек, среди которых интересными для нас являются оригинальная в формате DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 (~5 Мб/с) и дубляж в Dolby Digital 5.1. Издатель не забыл и о русских субтитрах - они присутствуют на обоих дисках. Приятным бонусом станет раздел дополнительных материалов, содержащий более часа документальных фильмов о создании "Франкенвини" и другие занимательные приложения.<br /><br />Мультфильм рассказывает о мальчике Викторе, чей пес погибает в результате несчастного случая. Мальчик, не желая мириться с потерей друга, призывает науку на помощь и…возвращает питомца к жизни! Казалось бы, все не так уж плохо, но когда Спарки сбегает от Виктора, его друзья, родители, учителя и жители городка узнают, что возвращение к жизни домашнего питомца может повлечь за собой неожиданные и даже ужасные последствия!<br /><br />Ориентировочная стоимость 2D Blu-ray издания составляет 700 рублей, 3D Blu-ray + 2D Blu-ray - 1500 рублей.
