Устройства чтения для дисков нового поколения должны появиться лишь у 3,9 процентов владельцев персональных компьютеров и ноутбуков в этом году. Но уже к 2013 году их количество должно вырасти до 16,3 процентов.<br /><br />На сегодняшний день ещё даже не совсем понятно, когда именно Blu-Ray заменит на рынке DVD и произойдёт ли это вовсе. В данном случае основной причиной столь плохого приёма Blu-Ray пользователями эксперты iSuppli считают непомерно высокие цены на устройства чтения и диски. Даже, несмотря на достаточно существенное снижение цен на компьютерные приводы, стоимость устройств чтения и записи DVD остаётся гораздо более привлекательной для покупателя. Ведь в среднем она составляет всего около тридцати долларов США.<br /><br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2009-08/1251280953_br4.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='Blu-Ray на ПК: есть ли перспективы?' title='Blu-Ray на ПК: есть ли перспективы?' /></div><br />До тех пор, пока пользователи не обзаведутся солидными коллекциями фильмов на Blu-Ray, пока им не потребуются большие, нежели предоставляет DVD, объёмы дисков для хранения информации, нет никакого смысла в переходе на приводы нового поколения и трате дополнительных денег, — заявил ведущий аналитик агентства Майкл Янг.<br /><br />Инерция мышления вкупе с недостаточными реальными техническими преимуществами нового формата для владельцев компьютеров также являются значимыми факторами. На сегодняшний день устройства воспроизведения и записи DVD для ПК получили широкое распространение. Кроме того, возрастающее количество сетевых сервисов и интернет сайтов, предоставляющих возможность смотреть видео в высоком разрешении, заметно сокращают стимулы к установке на ноутбук какого либо оптического привода в принципе. И не нужно забывать о популярных ныне нетбуках, где привод оптических дисков отсутствует как класс.<br /><br />Высокая стоимость приводов Blu-Ray также является сдерживающим фактором для компаний производителей персональных компьютеров. В то время, как крупные игроки рынка Dell и HP предлагают устройства для чтения и записи дисков Blu-Ray лишь в качестве опций к своим ПК, более мелкие фирмы предпочитают вовсе не связываться с этим.
