Только 2–5% выпущенных в текущем году ноутбуков будет оборудовано сенсорными экранами, сообщает ресурс Digitimes со ссылкой на Эл Джея Чена (L.J. Chen), президента компании AU Optronics, занимающейся разработкой и производством TFT-экранов.

По мнению г-на Чена, на окончательную доработку программного и аппаратного обеспечения, необходимую для создания массовых решений с тачскринами, уйдет как минимум два года.

В настоящее время производители высококлассных ноутбуков все еще находятся в поиске оптимальных решений, которые должны позволить без лишних препятствий управлять мобильными компьютерами с помощью сенсорных панелей. Ну а в первую очередь последние массово появятся в нетбуках –– недорогих миниатюрных лэптопах.

В то же время глава AU Optronics считает, что в текущем году тачскрины появятся во множестве различных карманных устройств –– к примеру, в мобильных телефонах или плеерах –– и таким образом окончательно превратятся в привычный орган управления.
