Жесткий диск выполнен в формфакторе 3,5 дюйма и имеет скорость вращения шпинделя 7 200 оборотов в минуту. Емкость буфера составляет 32 Мб, соединение с компьютером осуществляется посредством интерфейса Serial ATA II. <br /><br />Винчестер WD20EADS, как следует из названия, относится к семейству "экологичных" жестких дисков Caviar Green. Такие накопители потребляют в среднем на 4-5 Вт меньше энергии по сравнению с обычными винчестерами для настольных компьютеров. Это позволяет создавать более надежные системы с пониженным уровнем шума. <br /><br />Жесткие диски Caviar Green WD20EADS уже поступили в продажу в Австралии; в ближайшее время они будут анонсированы в Соединенных Штатах. Приобрести винчестеры можно будет по ориентировочной цене в $250. <br />
