Ожидается, что новинка – ThinkPad W700ds – поступит в продажу в США в январе 2009 г. О реализации в других странах не сообщается. <br /><br />Особенностью ThinkPad W700ds является два ЖК-экрана. Первый экран – основной, с диагональю 17 дюймов. Он способен отображать 72% цветового диапазона Adobe RGB и имеет сравнительно высокую яркость в 400 нит. Данный экран служит для основной работы. Второй экран выдвигается сбоку – его диагональ составляет 10,6 дюйма, а размер – примерно 40% от основного дисплея. В стандартном положении он имеет вертикальную ориентацию, но его можно поворачивать на 30 градусов. «Многие люди работают одновременно за двумя мониторами, - комментирует директор по маркетингу Lenovo Вес Вильямс (Wes Williams). – С новой моделью мы хотим предложить нашим покупателям все, что у них имеется на рабочем столе». <br /><br />В дополнении к этому ноутбук оснащается весьма неплохой аппаратной составляющей. Он базируется на четырехъядерном процессоре Intel и графике Nvidia Quadro с 128 вычислительными ядрами. В компьютер установлено 8 ГБ оперативной памяти и два жестких диска суммарным объемом 960 ГБ. Вес ноутбука достигает почти 5 кг. <br /><br />Ожидается, что стоимость компьютера будет начинаться от $3,6 тыс.<br />
