В III квартале прошлого года доля AMD, согласно Mercury Research, составляла 23%. <br /><br />По мнению аналитиков, сокращение рыночной доли AMD связано с тем, что компания не имеет конкурентоспособных продуктов в мобильном сегменте, где сильно уступает Intel. В сегменте настольных ПК ситуация обратная – здесь AMD пытается выстоять любой ценой. Так, трехъядерный процессор Phenom X3 8450, по данным сайта pricegrabber.com, можно купить менее чем за $100, а Phenom X4 9550 с четырьмя ядрами - за $144. <br /><br />В III квартале 2008 г. произошло знаковое событие – продажи мобильных процессоров впервые обошли продажи процессоров для настольных систем. <br /><br />
