Матрица создана с применением фирменной технологии Kodak Interline CCD, и отличается, согласно данным производителя, широким динамическим диапазоном и отличным качеством получаемого изображения – важнейшими для прикладного и профессионального рынков параметрами.<br /><br />Матрица KAI-02150 создана на 5,5-микронной CCD-платформе KODAK TRUESENSE с межстрочным переносом, которая позволила усовершенствовать размер пиксела, частоту кадров и качество изображения в сравнении с технологией прежнего поколения. Разработанная в популярном оптическом формате 2/3”, новая матрица KAI-02150 имеет такие же упаковку, контактную группу и электрическую схему, что и 1-мегапиксельная матрица KODAK KAI-01050, что упрощает производителям камер адаптацию уже существующих конструкций камер для поддержки нового устройства. Образцы KAI-02150 уже доступны для опытно-конструкторских работ, а начало серийного производства запланировано на 4 квартал 2008 г.
