По сообщению производителя, три новых процессора, которые будут использоваться в Centrino 2, будут потреблять не более 25 Вт. Это на 10 Вт ниже по сравнению с процессорами в текущем поколении платформы. <br /><br />О конкретных моделях на сообщается, однако стали известны тактовые частоты указанных чипов – 2,26, 2,4 и 2,53 ГГц, сообщает Electronista. <br /><br />Снижение TDP (максимального потребления электрической энергии) процессоров позволит увеличить время работы ноутбуков от аккумуляторной батареи и сократить выделение тепла. Соответственно ноутбуки могут стать более тонкими и легкими. <br /><br />Новые процессоры будут работать на 1066-МГц шине и поддерживать оперативную память с интерфейсом DDR3. <br /><br />Напомним, что релиз новой мобильной платформы Intel был отложен из-за проблем с чипсетом, антенной и, вероятно, сертификацией нового беспроводного стандарта. <br />
