Компания Sony анонсировала новый DVD-плеер - DVP-NS708H. К основным возможностям новинки относятся: способность преобразовывать стандартное разрешение в разрешение 1080p (1920 x 1080 пикселей с прогрессивной разверткой), функция PhotoTV HD для просмотра фотографий и технология Bravia Sync, позволяющая управлять плеером и телевизором с одного пульта дистанционного управления.

Устройство поддерживает файлы JPEG и MP3, записанные на CD-R/RW, диски форматов SVCD, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, включая двухслойные. Подключение к телевизору осуществляется посредством HDMI или компонентного видеовыхода, вывод звука осуществляется посредством цифрового коаксиального разъема.

Среди прочих технических особенностей плеера: шасси Precision Drive 3 Mechanism для надежного, точного воспроизведения; технология Precision Cinema Progressive (PCP) и 12-битный 108-МГц цифроаналоговый видеоконвертер.

Когда плеер поступит в продажу и по какой цене неизвестно.
