Корпорация Seiko Epson (Epson) разработала S1C33L17 — процессор приложений, который является решением для организации аналогового подключения ЖК-панелей с большой диагональю.

Кроме того, процессор приложений S1C33L17 можно использовать для организации интерфейсов в портативных устройствах, которые требуют высокоуровневой обработки данных. Это могут быть большие сенсорные панели или системные мониторы с иными входными данными.

Одночиповое решение S1C33L17 является высокоуровневым, имеет встроенную поддержку контроллера ЖК-монитора и различных типов флэш- и SDRAM-памяти; AD-конвертер и может работать с USB2.0-устройствами.

Заявлено, что в сравнении с аналогами, процессор S1C33L17 оказывается более быстрым — его частота примерно на 10% выше аналогов. Он быстро работает с 12- и 16-бит цветовым пространством, а благодаря интерфейсу I²S может работать с картинкой в 16- или 24-бит цвете, как со звуком (моно или стерео), так и без.
