После окончательного признания компанией Toshiba своего поражения в войне форматов, перед альянсом Blu-Ray во главе с японской Sony открываются отличные перспективы стать законодателем мод на рынке оптических приводов и носителей. Именно это и пытается осуществить компания Optiarc, совместное предприятие Sony и NEC, представляя на выставке CeBIT 2008 целый спектр BD-приводов для персональных компьютеров, как «полноценных» настольных, так и компактных мобильных. Основное отличие моделей BR-5100S и BC-M110S заключается в поддержке только чтения оптических носителей первым устройством, и возможности осуществлять запись на DVD/CD-носители BC-M110S. В остальном оба «девайса» идентичны: максимальная скорость передачи данных 150 Мб/с, объем буфера – 4 Мб, поддержка интерфейса SATA. <br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2008-03/1204921818_76595.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='CeBIT 2008: Blu-Ray-приводы от Optiarc' title='CeBIT 2008: Blu-Ray-приводы от Optiarc' /></div><br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/2008-03/1204921797_76593.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='CeBIT 2008: Blu-Ray-приводы от Optiarc' title='CeBIT 2008: Blu-Ray-приводы от Optiarc' /></div><br />Что касается оптических BD-приводов для мобильных компьютеров, то на стендах Optiarc нашлось место также для двух моделей – BC-5600S, который пока находится на стадии инженерного образца, и BC-5500A/5500S. Оба устройства отличаются чрезвычайно компактными размерами – толщина приводов составляет 12,7 мм, и поддерживают чтение с Blu-Ray-носителей, а также чтение/запись данных на DVD/CD. Отметим, что BC-5600S отличается от своего собрата слотовой загрузкой носителей, а подключается устройство к ПК посредством интерфейса SATA.
