Согласно недавнему заявлению компании, в ее  ближайших планах усовершенствовать базу, на которой создаются компьютеры. Dell собирается использовать новую платформу от Intel на базе процессоров Penryn (процессоры изготовлены по нормам 45-нанометрового техпроцесса). В то же время неясно, в каких моделях лэптопов будет использоваться процессор, и будет ли  использовать вообще.  Естественно, компания не собирается продавать старые модели ноутбуков с новым процессором по более высокой цене. Но учитывая тот факт, что в будущем такие производители как HP, Sony собираются использовать Penryn, то Dell придется сделать свой выбор. <br /><br /><div align="center"><img src="http://www.hdtv.ru/uploads/posts/1202416730_2508x205sli.jpg" style="border: none;" alt='В ноутбуках Dell и Toshiba новые процессоры.' /></div><br />В это же время компания Toshiba уже модернизировала свой ноутбук X205-SLI, использовав Penryn и сегодня анонсировала модели с дислеем 17”  X205-SLi2 и X205-SLi4. Технические характеристики новинок таковы: процессор 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo T8100, встроенный HD DVD-ROM / DVD с возможностью записи, интегрированные колонки Harman Kardon (с сабвуфером) и 2 видеокарты 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT. Модель X205- SLi2 также оснащена 2 Gb оперативной памяти и двумя жесткими дисками  160GB 5400 RPM drives, имеет разрешение дисплея 1440х900,  технологию Bluetooth класса 2.0+EDR, Wi-Fi к 802.11a/g/n, вебкамеру и микрофон. На корпусе так же приусутствует сканер отпечатков пальцев. Что касается X205-SLi4, то кроме встроенной объема оперативной памяти есть дополнительные разъемы для ее увеличения, в добавок в комплекте имеется USB HDTV тюнер. Максимальное разрешение дисплея составляет 1680х1050.За новинки придется раскошелиться - 1 999,99 и 1 499,99 долларов соответственно. <br />
